These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BugRadar mobile application ("BugRadar", "the App", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
1 Description of the Service
BugRadar is an AI-powered application designed to analyze arthropod images (such as insects or spiders). The App may:
- Analyze uploaded images using artificial intelligence
- Generate enhanced HD visual outputs
- Provide informational insights including scientific name, habitat data, behavioral context, danger score indicators, and general first-aid suggestions
All features are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
2 Subscriptions & Billing
Certain features of BugRadar require an active auto-renewable subscription.
- Payments are processed securely by Apple through your App Store account.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Renewal charges are billed to your Apple ID account.
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID settings.
- BugRadar does not store or process payment card information.
3 Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
BugRadar uses AI systems to generate identifications, analyses, and visual outputs.
- AI-generated results are probabilistic and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information. Species identification and danger assessments are not guaranteed to be correct.
- You acknowledge that AI outputs are provided "as-is" and should be independently verified where necessary.
4 Medical & Scientific Disclaimer
Important
If you experience an insect bite or sting, do not rely solely on the App. Seek immediate assistance from a qualified medical professional or the nearest healthcare facility.
Not Medical Advice
BugRadar is not a healthcare provider. Any danger scores, descriptions, or first-aid information are provided solely for general educational purposes.
No Accuracy Guarantee
AI analysis may misidentify species or produce incomplete results.
5 User Responsibilities
By using BugRadar, you agree that:
- You will upload only content you own or have legal rights to use.
- You will not upload unlawful, misleading, or malicious content.
- The App is intended for insect or arthropod-related analysis.
- BugRadar may provide warnings if non-insect content is detected. Continuing despite warnings is solely the user's responsibility.
6 Intellectual Property & Content Rights
Users retain ownership of their original uploaded images.
BugRadar retains rights to the application software, design, AI systems, and generated analytical content. AI-generated outputs are licensed to users for personal, non-commercial use within the App unless otherwise permitted.
Unauthorized reproduction, redistribution, or commercial exploitation of App content is prohibited.
7 Limitation of Liability
BugRadar is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BugRadar shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or personal damages arising from:
- AI misidentification or inaccurate analysis
- Reliance on informational or medical-related content
- Health or safety decisions based on App output
- Temporary service interruptions or technical issues
8 Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Misuse of the service may result in suspension or termination of access without notice.
9 Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Continued use of BugRadar after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10 Governing Use
These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles.
